Since chief media correspondent Brian Stelter was fired this week, along with his program “Reliable Sources,” the CNN workplace has been buzzing with rumors about who would be the next to go. The network is allegedly becoming more moderate as word has spread.
The lead domestic correspondent, Acosta, has also been the subject of rumors. He is routinely mocked on Fox News for his aggressive reporting style and for challenging Republicans who defend positions like rejecting the validity of the 2020 presidential election.
Even while Jim’s new position represents a significant transition for the former White House correspondent, he’s not the only CNN employee who needs to pick up new skills.
Acosta’s transfer as a chief domestic correspondent and the weekend host was announced by CNN in January 2021.

What Happened To Jim Acosta?
Jim Acosta, a CNN correspondent, and President Donald Trump got into a heated argument during a news conference in 2018, and the White House has since canceled his press credentials.
Acosta questioned Trump about the migrant caravan that was making its way from Latin America to the southern U.S. border, and they came into conflict.
Jim tried to ask another question, but Trump responded, “That’s enough!” when a female White House assistant unsuccessfully attempted to snatch Acosta’s microphone.
The president’s relationship with journalists reached a new low following the midterm election press conference. The president criticized the lack of media coverage of the growing economy and claimed that it was largely to blame for the nation’s polarized politics.
After the White House reinstated Acosta’s press credentials with restrictions on November 19, CNN eventually abandoned the complaint.

Acosta formerly worked as CNN’s top White House correspondent, where he reported on both the Trump and Obama administrations from the White House and other locations.
He frequently reports on events affecting the federal government’s executive branch, including presidential press conferences, state visitations, and other topics.
He covered Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate in 2016, while on the campaign road.
He had been a CBS News correspondent since February 2003 before joining CNN in March 2007. Jim began his career in New York and eventually moved to the CBS office in Atlanta.
