J.D. Gibbs was married to his wife Melissa Miller on November 27, 1993.
She is a mother to his four sons, Jason Dean II, Joe Jackson, William Miller, and Zachary Taylor.
Melissa had started liking J.D Gibbs when they were 7th-grade 12-year-olds. Later Melissa’s family moved on to Columbia and the romance faded.
Unexpectedly, Melissa met J.D again on a college tour. Since then life’s unusual circumstances kept bringing them together and they started dating.
Melissa graduated from Clemson with a degree in Psychology and got her Master’s degree in Marriage in Family Therapy from East Carolina.
As of now, Melissa is a part-time social worker at Lutheran Family Services. It is an organization that helps to cooperate in bringing adoptive children and parents together.
Melissa and her husband J.D celebrated 25 years of their marriage until J.D passed away from degenerative neurological disease. She and her husband set up his brother, Coy Gibbs, and Heather Gibbs on a date. They also have four children, Case, Ty, Elle, and Jett.

Coy was married to his wife Heather and had four children, sons Tyler, Case, and Jett, and his one daughter Elle Gibbs. They lived in Cornelius, North Carolina.
Unfortunately, Coy Gibbs passed away at the age of 49, on November 6, 2022, in his sleep. His cause of demise has been ruled as the same disease that took his older brother, a neurological disorder.

Tyler also won the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity series championship on November 6, 2022. The same night his father Coy passed away.
His other grandson, Case, and his brother Jett are baseball players at Providence Day School. Joe’s only granddaughter, Elle Gibbs, is an equestrian.
