An incident during practice at the Long Beach Grand Prix hurt Jimmie Johnson’s hand on Friday.

In a video shared on Twitter on Friday, Johnson stated he was wearing a carbon fiber splint on his hand, and he confirmed that he had fractured it the next morning.

Johnson did not take his hands off the steering wheel when his automobile slammed into a tire barrier, according to wthr.

His hands snapped off the steering wheel as a result of the impact, and Johnson’s in-car video captured him shaking his right hand.

After missing the IndyCar driver autograph session, Johnson uploaded a video on Twitter showing his right arm severely wrapped and in a splint.

Born On September 17, 1975, Jimmie Johnson turned the age of  46 last year.

Johnson, who was born in El Cajon, California, started racing motorbikes when he was four years old.

During the 2002 season, Johnson began racing full-time in the Winston Cup Series. For the Daytona 500, he earned his first career pole position.

Johnson won his seventh championship in 2016. Johnson has also won the Daytona 500 on two occasions, in 2006 and 2013.
