WR: Kamryn Babb Parents Ty Babb & Alana Templeton Are Very Supportive

Kamryn Babb’s parents, Ty Gabb and Alana Templeton dreamt about that moment since 2018. And the dream turned into reality as they saw their son make his first touchdown.

Kamryn Babb, a promising football player whose career has been riddled with injuries, finally made his 2022 debut, and the wide receiver certainly made it look like a fairytale story.

The 6-foot tall, Kamryn caught an 8-yard pass from C.J. Stroud for the touchdown as Ohio State ran a rout against Indiana and defeated them with a scoreline of 56-1.

It was a surreal moment for everyone involved. A promising career that had been halted by the injuries certainly looked like it found a new pair of wings on Saturday, and Babbs would want to carry this momentum to the next game.

Kamryn Babb Parents Are Always Supportive

Kamryn Babb’s parents, Ty Babb and Alana Templeton have always supported his footballing career. Kamryn Babb has had some tough times in the past two years, but his parents were there for him during the challenging time.

Kamryn’s collegiate carer has been derailed by injury after injury. And after getting his first catch and a first touchdown on Saturday, the first person he went to hug after the game was his mother.

In 2021, Kamryn was named one of six designated leaders of Ohio State, and the Ohio State Twitter account put out videos of the Buckeye position coaches calling the parents of the newly elected captains.

So Kamryn was allowed to call his parents to inform them that he is the captain of his side. The wide receiver first called his mother and thanked her for being there for him always.

Alana was sobbing from the other side of the phone as she said that she was proud of him. Then the wide receiver called his dad, who congratulated his son as well as thanked Brian Harline.

After Saturday’s game, Ty Gabb said he had been waiting to see his sons make the touchdown since his high school days. Two ACL injuries in both his knees had disrupted his career.

But the parents of Kamryn Babb said the wide receiver never lost hope during his injuries and always thought he could make it out of it and create a name for himself. Ty added that it had been a long journey for his son, but it was all worth it.

Kamryn Babb Stepmother Mostly Attends His Game

Amanda Babb, the stepmother of Kamryn Babb, makes sure to attend most of his games. And she was present in the stands as Kamryn scored his first touchdown.

While speaking to the media, Amanda said, “You don’t have words for it because you’ve been waiting for so long. He has not scored a touchdown since high school in junior year. We were just hoping No. 1 can he get in the game. Then No. 2, just catch a pass.”

Amanda tied the knot with Kamryn’s father in 2008 after being together for eight years. And Amanda certainly didn’t have a hard time fitting into the family.

As ardent supporters of sports, Amanda and Kamryn found football to be a common topic of interest between themselves. If you go through Amanda’s posts, you wouldn’t believe that Kamryn was her stepson as she has always treated him equally to her two children- Taylor and Jace.

Kamryn Babb Little Sister – Meet Taylor Babb

Taylor Babb is the little sister of Kamryn Babb. And like her brother, Taylor is also an athlete. Only last week, Taylor announced that she had signed committed to South Illinois University to play soccer and continue her academic career.

Taylor is a graduate of Ladue High School and plays defense. She was previously coached by Jeff Tottleben, and John Vasiloff joined her latest team seeking the thrill of competitiveness.

And similarly to her brother, who has received universal love and appreciation from his coaches, Taylor also has received the same from her coaches. The teenager was praised by Coach Burton as a versatile player, who described her as a nightmare for her opponents.

Taylor is a supporter of the NFL franchise Arizona Cardinals and has previously dawned their jersey and visited their stadium. On her Instagram handle, Taylor is seen posting pictures with friends and of her soccer training sessions.

Like her mother, Taylor also posted an Instagram story after the Saturday’s game congratulating her older brother and writing she was proud.
