Former UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov has two siblings, including a brother and a sister. 

Nurmagomedov is a retired MMA fighter and UFC lightweight champion. With 29 wins and no losses in his career, he is considered as Mayweather of the UFC world.

He retired in 2021, with a name in the UFC Hall of Fame in 2022. So, his fans are left wondering, who will follow his legacy?

UFC Khabib Nurmagomedov Siblings – Who are His Brothers And Sister?

Khabib Nurmagomedov was born in Dagestan ASSR on 20 September 1988. Likewise, he is the middle child of the family. 

UFC Khabib Nurmagomedov has two siblings: Magomed and Amina.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s older brother, Magomed Nurmagomedov is a former wrestler. However, unlike his UFC sensation sibling, Magomed did not compete in any huge competition.

Magomed briefly appeared in Khabib’s docuseries “The Dagestan Chronicles” episode 7. Besides this, he seems to prefer staying away from the spotlight.

Moreover, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s little sister, Amina Nurmagomedov, is an even more camera-shy person. The only time we have heard about her is when the fighter talked about Amina’s low salary in Dagestan – prior to him being the breadwinner in the family.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s ethnicity is connected to the Avars community. Avars is a group of northeast Caucasian ethnic group, who settled in Dagestan several hundred years ago. 

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s parents include his late father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. 

Abdulmanap was the main person who ignited the fighting spirit in his son. In fact, he was also the coach, trainer and inspiration behind Khabib’s every match. Sadly, he passed away in 2020 after contracting COVID-19.

He is married to his wife Patimat since 2013. They have three children (two sons and a daughter). Similarly, his first son is named Magomed.

Khabib Nurmagomedov follows the Sunni Muslim religion. Sunni is the largest followed Islamic faith in the world. Interestingly, he is the first Muslim to win a UFC title. 

Khabib Nurmagomedov Cousin Brothers are Joining his Legacy 

Though Khabib’s siblings are not involved in UFC, his cousins are joining the game. As a fact, all of the cousins grew up training together in the same house-turned gym.

Among all of his cousins, Abubakar Nurmagomedov is popular in UFC. The three-time Combat Sambo World Championship bronze medalist currently competes in the UFC Welterweight championship. Furthermore, he has an impressive professional MMA record of 16-3-1 (Win-Loss-Draw).

Abubakar is not the only one signed under UFC. Brother Umar Nurmagomedov is also making strides as a Bantamanweight beast. He is also a World Champion in Combat Sambo champion. 

Usman Nurmagomedov is another household name. Similar to his cousin’s brother, Usman holds an undefeated fighting record. He is currently signed by Bellator under the lightweight division.

Khabib is very supportive of his cousins. Talking about Abubakar in an interview, the MMA artist said, “I was seven years old when he came”. He added, “We do everything together. We push each other, push ourselves. We help each other. He’s a very important guy in my life.”
