Family Support Received By Josh Hader Despite Past Racist Tweets

Maria Macias, now the wife of Josh Hader, had stated that she had deleted all her social media accounts. The break from social media took place in response to the revelation of Hader’s racist and homophobic remarks.

During the MLB All-Star game on July 17, 2018, the offensive remarks were made public for the first time. During the post-match press conference, Hader apologized and said that the incident in question occurred when he was 17 years old.

Hader said that he was immature when he was younger and spoke certain things that could not be justified in any way. He also said that it does not in any way represent who he is as a person now, which is a fact that cannot be denied. Hader was required to go through “sensitivity training” and “engagement in MLB’s diversity and inclusion efforts,” as per a statement by Major League Baseball (MLB).

Macias described Hader as “modest” and added that his mindset towards playing in the major leagues is that he is out there to do his thing. This was discussed in an interview that took place in June of 2018 with TMJ4.

The couple has moved past this phase and is now happily married with a child.

Josh Hader Welcomes His Child With Wife Maria Macias

A little less than a month after Maria had difficulties throughout her pregnancy, Josh Hader and his wife finally welcomed their first child into the world.

On June 15, Lucas Alexander Hader entered the world. In May, Josh Hader took a temporary leave from the Brewers to attend to his wife’s medical needs, who was experiencing issues.

Josh explained to the media that Maria was 34 weeks pregnant when she was diagnosed with the highly uncommon disease of placenta previa. Hader, now 28 years old, has already appeared in three All-Star games and is leading Milwaukee to another championship this year. Hader has made 22 appearances and thrown 20.2 innings this season. He has a saves total of 20, a strikeout total of 34, and an earned run average of 0.87.

Hader returned from paternity leave in June to finish a save against the Cardinals. At the time, the lead in the NL Central was up for grabs and would go to the club that won the game.
