He uploaded videos of himself inside the Capitol and in a hotel room to Facebook later that day. In the end, he agreed to enter a guilty plea to count three of his indictment, which was a misdemeanor charge of disruptive and obnoxious behavior in a confined environment on June 8.
He has not yet received a sentence, but according to court documents, the maximum punishment is one year in jail, a $100,000 maximum fine, and a period of supervised release that lasts no more than a year because he did not carry a weapon or engage in hostile behavior.

Several other online posts would sway or manipulate public opinion. Several positions, including one that referenced Trump’s call-to-action tweet on December 19, were noted by officials who also studied them.
As a result, on January 25, 2021, he was placed under arrest. Earlier this year, as part of a plea agreement, he also acknowledged guilt for engaging in disorderly and disruptive behavior on restricted land.
