Technoblade is, unfortunately, dead due to his cancer battle. His departure is a huge loss to the youtube and gaming community.
Technoblade uploaded his last video, titled “The Minecraft VR Experience,” around two months ago. After that, he did not post or stream any youtube videos or shorts.
Considering that the YouTuber was battling cancer, his absence led some to speculate that the gamer is no longer with us. While fans were hoping the rumors to be true, they were shocked by the new update.

Youtuber Technoblade, real name Alex, is not alive but reportedly dead.
After months of hiatus, fans’ hope was revived that Techno might be alive after his channel notified a new video. On June 30, 2022, the YouTuber’s account posted a video titled “So Long Nerds.”
However, this was not a typical Technoblade Minecraft video. The 6 min and 31-sec video featured Technoblade’s dad reading his last letter to his fans.
The video started as “Hi, I am Technoblade’s dad. He wrote a message and asked me to read it to all of you”. The next part shattered everyone as Techno’s dad said, “Hello everyone, Technoblade here! If you are watching this, I am dead.”. He further added, “Let’s sit down and have one final chat.”
Technoblade was the age of 23 years old.
Technoblade Cancer Update – What Happened?
On August 27, 2021, Technoblade first updated about his cancer with a video called “Where I’ve been.”
The late gamer disclosed that the doctors had diagnosed him with sarcoma (cancer in bones and tissues) in early August. The diagnosis came after he felt pain and swelling in his right arm.
Apparently, the cancer was detected early, and he was focused on receiving chemotherapy. Following the announcement, #TechnoSupport is even started to trend on the internet for his support.
However, after his first reveal, Technoblade became inconsistent in video uploading. He only posted on the channel between his chemotherapy sessions. Nonetheless, fans understood about it.
Moreover, many YouTubers even helped him to raise funds for his illness.
Cancer Stage and Surgery
Despite the effort, the YouTuber’s condition did not get any better. Technoblade disclosed that he was battling the worst cancer stage in a few videos.
On December 23, 2021, Techno revealed that he had been advised to cut his shoulders to remove his tumor. The surgery reportedly went well, but Techno was in deep pain. On February 22, 20222, he announced a fundraising event along with other renowned YouTubers. After 1-2 video updates, he finally went silent on the web.
His untimely demise has left the whole community in sadness. He was a fighter and kept everyone cheered while battling such a painful disease.
Many YouTubers and fans have come forward in his support. They even flooded social media with RIP posts for his tribute.
I had the opportunity to express to Technoblade how much admiration and respect I had for him, not only for the massive impact he had on all of us, but also for keeping his incredible humor even in the darkest moments.
