The same rumor surfaced last year when she was not seen in her morning reporting slot at Fox 13. The reason behind her leave was because her pet dog Wolfie had died, but somehow people manipulated her absence into her bidding goodbye to Fox 13.

On 10 June 2021, Liz took that matter to her Instagram and announced that her dog was dead. 

Liz hasn't spoken anything about the rumor, which is not even at a massive pace. Liz's comment section has a few vague assumptions, which spiked the buzz. Nonetheless, Liz has neither been fired nor is resigning from Fox 13. If that were the case, credible sources would indeed report on that.
