Gianna Bryant’s mother, Vanessa Bryant, has sued eight employees of Los Angeles County for circulating the pictures of her deceased daughter and husband, Kobe Bryant, among their friends.

Gianna and Kobe Bryant, along with seven other people, died in a helicopter crash in January 2020 in Calabasas. After the crash, the employees of Los Angeles County allegedly took pictures of their dead bodies and used those for their benefit. As a result, many sketches of their bodies are circulating on social media.

Gianna’s mother, Vanessa Bryant, has sued several employees of LA County for their actions during the death of her child and husband. According to her attorney, emergency personnel rubbed salt into an already-open wound by taking pictures of her husband and daughter’s bodies and posting them online.

The widow of basketball player Kobe Bryant is suing the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for invasion of privacy because she is concerned that she or her living children may see the photos. While traveling to a basketball event in January 2020, the renowned NBA player’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other individuals perished in a catastrophic helicopter disaster.

Vanessa Bryant’s Case Update And Lawsuit Hearing

The case was filed in Los Angeles on Wednesday and demanded millions in compensation for carelessness, emotional distress, and violation of privacy.

According to reports, sheriff’s officer Joey Cruz allegedly showed individuals at a club in California images of Kobe’s decapitated body just two days after the collision. Cruz was seen in a video clip holding out his phone to a bartender to show him something on the screen while seated at the Baja California Bar & Grill in Norwalk.

The actions of those employees are beyond any acceptance. They had shared those pictures with random persons. Those actions have negatively impacted the lives of family members of the deceased. In the middle of testimony detailing photographs taken at the scene of the crash, Vanessa Bryant left the courtroom.

The incident happened on the second day of testimony in Vanessa Bryant’s federal civil lawsuit against Los Angeles County, which alleges that county fire and sheriff’s department employees shared images from the January 2020 helicopter crash in locations unrelated to the investigation, including a bar.

When Victor Gutierrez, a bartender, was questioned if he had seen the body of Vanessa Bryant’s daughter in the pictures, Vanessa Bryant broke down in tears. A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy had shown some images, and Gutierrez had been summarizing what he observed in them.
