What Happened To Ada Ameh Daughter Aladi Godgift? Actress Died 2 Years To Her Only Child’s Passing

Actress Ada Ameh died at the age of 48 years. She passed away around 11 pm on Sunday at a hospital in Delta State.

According to a source, Ameh was a guest at an oil company top shot. She tumbled suddenly and was rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s hospital. However, the actress had already passed before arriving at the medical facility.

The sad news was verified by The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, via telephone to the media on Monday morning.

Since her daughter died in 2020, Ameh’s mental health has deteriorated. A few weeks ago, she also opened up about her mental health challenges. She stated: “Everything is going to be fine. I have an issue right now, and it’s taking my life. I will not die. We will get over it,”

Ameh played the role of Anita in the movie ‘Domitilla,’ released in 1996. She, however, got recognition for her iconic comic role on ‘The Johnsons.

The veteran actress was born on May 15, 1974, in Ajegunle, Lagos. 

Ada Ameh’s young daughter Aladi Godgift died on October 20, 2020. She was diagnosed with cancer.

Aladi had an unsuccessful tumor surgery in Abuja. She traveled to various places to receive treatment, although her life remained short. The 32-year-old took her last breath at a hospital in Federal Capital Territory.

Ameh shared the sad news of Aladi’s death on her Instagram post.

While pleading with the authorities to let her travel to bury her daughter, Ameh also disclosed the cause of her daughter’s death.

Ameh told in her video that her daughter was like her best friend. She received help from Aladi to overcome many challenges in her life. 

In 2020, Ameh also opened up about her mental health. After the death of more than four members of her family, she was very depressed, and at the time, Aladi helped the actress overcome the stage. 

Speaking further, Ameh described that her daughter was irreplaceable and how her daughter influenced her relationship with the people in the entertainment business. 

Ameh buried her daughter on October 31, 2020, at the New Gwarinpa Cemetery in Abuja. 

Ada Ameh bore her daughter Aladi when she was only fourteen years of age. 

As a result of pregnancy, she had to leave her secondary education behind and raise her daughter independently.

The actress has not disclosed the name of her daughter’s daddy.

In June 2021, Ameh shared a picture of her new lover for the first time on the internet. She had captioned the photo:” I Love you!! Thank you for Everything you do for me.” 

Before 2020, Ada Ameh lost six of her siblings to death. She had three brothers and three sisters.
