The couple was friends turned lovers from the University of Colorado. Carey proposed while the two were traveling the Lost Coast in Northern California. After years of dating, they decided to take their wedding vows on August 31, 2014.
Interestingly, Gracie’s parents and grandparents also fell in love at the same college. At Tincup Town Hall, where Gracie’s parents were wed 30 years earlier, the couple also exchanged vows during their wedding ceremony. As stated in The Knot, Gracie and Carey adored the venue’s sentimental appeal and the 110-year-old structure’s historical significance.
Everyone was moved to tears when Gracie’s younger brother sang “Home” by Philip Phillips at the ceremony’s start. They departed in the Jeep that Gracie had learned to drive after being declared husband and wife.

On the occasion of Auggie’s sixth birthday, Gracie had written some exciting stories about him. She said his 6th trip around the sun was terrific in every way and recalled his boyhood. Coburn has also cherished memories like his kindergarten days, bike learning days, and hair-cutting days. The proud mom has captioned at the end: “he’s still my baby but boy, is he growing up!
