Fans have every right to recognize the link between Criston and Oberyn. Additionally, Criston and Oberyn are both of Dornish ancestry.

Ser Criston Cole was born in Blackhaven, in the Dornish Marches, to a steward of Lord Dondarrion. Prince Oberyn Martell and his lover, Ellaria Sand, were born in Dorne in the television series Game of Thrones.

In Game of Thrones Season 4, Oberyn appears as House Martell’s emissary during King Joffrey Baratheon’s marriage to Margaery Tyrell.

Although Criston may have tenuous ties to Oberyn and Beric, we cannot directly connect him to any of the cast members of Game of Thrones.

This is because Criston, despite being dashing and lovable at first in the book that served as the inspiration for House of the Dragon, is reverent of his Kingsguard pledge, which prevents him from possessing land, getting married, or having children.
