Inside Blake Bortles Married Life and Ex Wife Lindsey Duke

Blake Bortles is yet to be married as of 2022, so he doesn’t have a wife. His only girlfriend, who has received public recognition, is Lindsey Duke.

They met at Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida, and have been friends since they were young. The two were best friends and participated in University of Central Florida activities. After years of friendship, they decided to be in a relationship. They started dating as college friends and used to have a good understanding of each other.

As the gorgeous couple was frequently photographed before, during, and after UCF games, Bortles and Lindsey Duke became the talk of the town in the UCF community. They are the role models for many young couples in relationships in the city. When publishing their stories and articles, many publications and newspapers included stunning photographs of couples.

Bortles and Duke remained in touch after the Jacksonville Jaguars selected him in the 2014 NFL Draft. However, the attractive pair split up during the quarterback’s first season. And no, they haven’t yet disclosed the cause of their breakup. Although Blake was not seen with anyone after his split from Lindsey, the break didn’t upset Blake too severely. Thus, he doesn’t want to date anyone else. He mainly focused on his NFL career, finding only little success with the team that had initially selected him before moving around the league as a backup to opponents who were far better athletes.

After his Breakup with Linsdey on October 5th, 2022, he announced his retirement from sports on the podcast “Pardon My Take.”   

Many NFL enthusiasts and fans consider Blake Bortles among the best quarterbacks in history, so he has been given the nickname “BOAT” (Best Of All Time). ‘BOAT’ admitted to Barstool Sports that he would probably be working in construction if he weren’t a football player. Blake Bortles’ teammates and admirers called him “The Boat.”

The moniker stuck as a result. When asked about the title in 2018, Blake Bortles answered, “The Boat.” Later, he acknowledged that he never truly enjoyed nicknames. Most of the time, people call him Blake. But the players and coaches around him only call him the boat.

Blake Bortles played as a Quarterback for Jaguars in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. The quarterback rode a magical junior season at Central Florida, where he was named the AAC Offensive Player of the Year and won MVP honors at the 2014 Fiesta Bowl, to the top of the NFL draft.

He was the first of 14 quarterbacks that were chosen in that draft. Blake was one of the well-paid athletes in the NFL, and his start in the league was also glorious. Later, in 2018, Bortles signed a three-year extension to his contract with Jacksonville.

Bortles chose to sign a three-year, $54 million deal with Jacksonville, which includes a $26.5 million guarantee. But after signing Nick Foles to an agreement a few years back, they let him go. Bortles signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Rams for the 2019 campaign after impressing them.

He signed with the Denver Broncos in 2020, but two months later, he joined the Rams again. The Green Bay Packers signed him in the offseason of 2021, and after they released him, the New Orleans Saints took him on. On October 2022, he announced his retirement after being freed in April 2022.

He has impacted the gameplay of the Jacksonville Jaguars massively. While being fantastic in the field with the proper technique and skillset, he holds lots of Jaguars records. The most passing yards in a season, pass completions in a season, and passing touchdowns in a game are a few examples. He is still considered one of the most iconic players the team ever had.

Bortles excelled in baseball and football for the Lions when a student at Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida. He had always been interested in athletic sports, and with his family’s help, he could start refining his skills at a young age. As a junior, he played college football for UCF, where he was named the 2014 Fiesta Bowl MVP and the AAC Offensive Player of the Year.

Bortles decided to forego his senior year and declare for the 2014 NFL Draft on January 5, 2014. He made a wise choice, as the Jaguars picked Blake Bortles third overall in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Bortles signed a four-year, $20.6 million guaranteed rookie deal with the club on June 18, 2014. In Week 3, Bortles made his NFL debut against Indianapolis Colts. He showed fantastic talent in the early phase of his league. By sprinting for 20 or more yards seven times in 2014, second only to Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks, Bortles established himself as a dual-threat quarterback in his first campaign. He also had a 3-10 record as a starter and set team records with 55 sacks for 345 yards lost, which led the NFL.

After a promising preseason in his second season, Bortles started the 2015 season slowly, throwing one touchdown and two picks. With 4,428 throwing yards this season, he finished seventh in the NFL after Manning, Brady, Palmer, Matt Ryan, and Drew Brees. On the NFL Top 100 Players of 2016, his teammates placed him 56th. His final season with the team was ordinary; he claimed to have had a Grade 1 right AC joint sprain in Week 8 and wrist tendinitis later in the campaign.

He had many contracts with the Jaguars until 2019, when he left the team to join the Los Angeles Rams and start a new NFL career. He spent one season with the team before moving on to the Denver Broncos, where he signed a one-year deal. Before calling it quits in the NFL on October 5, 2022, he played for the Green Bay Packers and the New Orleans Saints.
