Runner Jim Walmsley Married His Wife Jessica Brazeau After Four Months Of Proposal

Jim Walmsley wife Jessica Brazeau is an American trail runner and mountain biker from Corona city of California.

Jessica was not all passionate about sports and athleticism while growing up. She only began liking running when she was in high school. That was the first time she had ever participated in any sports event. 

During her first year, Jessica unknowingly inaugurated her professional athletic career. She mostly ran 3200 and 5000-meter events, half-marathons, and 10-kilometer marathons while in high school.

She developed into a steady runner as an adult in terms of her performance and commitment. And more importantly, she is pleased with the times she has so far accomplished. 

Jessica is a quick learner and can swiftly acclimate to a new environment, in contrast to most athletes who find it difficult to adjust to the local temperature and climate when they travel.

She relocated to Madison High School in wintry Madison, New Jersey, at the start of her second year of college track running from Santiago High School in California.

But Jessica rapidly learned how to readjust, and she was able to continue jogging and maintaining her grades. She has always been a committed runner who desired to run and consistently devoted most of his life to the sport.

Mrs. Walmsley was the highlight of the 2021 Ultra Trail Cape Town (UTCT) twenty-one-kilometer trail racing. Jessica managed to make a mark in the brutally challenging and gorgeous terrain of Cape Town in South Africa.

Jim and Jessica tied the wedding knot on May 4, 2022, after getting engaged in January.

Following their marriage, the athlete couple planned to migrate to the Alps of France as temporary residents so that Walmsley could return stronger for the next season’s UTMB race.

His first participation in the competition this year, he could not finish in the top three and was left out at the third runner-up position. So their journey to Europe served his sole purpose of getting ready for the 2023 UTMB competition.

Although the love birds were married on May 4, they shared pictures from their wedding on May 11. In the chilly atmosphere in the high hills of Silverton, Colorado, Jim and Jessica finally became life partners.

Their wedding photographs capture the subtleties of their new beginning in life and the scenic settings and snow-capped mountains, which added to the excitement.

It all started in 2019 when the Phoenix, Arizona, native runner Jessica shared a picture of them for the first time on social media. Since both are adventure lovers, the photo was taken when the pair traveled to Kendall Mountain by running at the end of July 2019.

In August 2021, Jim and Jessica were at the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc as she competed in her first UTMB race. He traveled with her to cheer and support her, and those pictures she uploaded showed he was helping her with her track uniform.

On January 5, Jessica caught her followers by surprise as she announced that she was betrothed to Jim through her Instagram post. At Arizona Nordic Village, Flagstaff, where the two were residing that time, Jim proposed to her. 

“Excited to share that Jim and I got engaged last week!” she captioned the post with pictures of them skiing in the icy land of Arizona. 

The American ultra-trail specialist, Jim, who will turn 33 next month, competed in his first-ever UTMB. But he was far behind the glory finishing fourth in the race in Chamonix, France.

He was so moved by the defeat that Jim decided to move to France to prepare for the next season’s competition. His life partner Jessica explained how it all happened so fast, and in a blink of an eye, they were in France from Flagstaff, Arizona.

She said they did not carry much in their travel to Europe, two bike boxes, some duffels, and some carry-ons. Although their relocation was for UTMB’s success, they also wanted to have new experiences in life.

UTMB world series Instagram page recently uploaded a video on November 29 about the life Jim and Jessica are adapting in France’s Alps. It demonstrates how the pair juggles their life in their new house while still preparing for the tournament.

Jessica loves traveling and going on adventures, aside from running hundreds of kilometers.

With her husband, Jim, she has explored many different places and experienced new things. The couple migrated from the United States to France to live in the shadow of mountains.

Besides her profession, Jessica is easily persuaded by mountain biking and skiing. She loves the outdoors; as a result, she often goes with her other half on adventurous trips to high mountains. Moreover, her Instagram is filled with pictures from all her visits.

In December 2021, the two venture lovers took a road trip to Casper, Wyoming, on their Toyota 4Runner. More recently, on December 5, she posted a picture of her and her adventure buddy Jim skiing on the snowy laps of the Beaufortain Mountains in the French Alps.

Moreover, Jessica is also a massive food lover. She loves sweets and chocolates. As an athlete, consuming adequate sweets to maintain enough energy while running is indispensable. She has signed an endorsement deals with Moon Valley, a Swedish organic sports nutrition company.
