Italian tennis player gave a urine sample on July 19, 2021, in connection with her participation in the WTA Palermo Ladies’ Open, held in Palermo, Italy, from July 19–25.

The clostebol metabolite was discovered in the sample after being forwarded to the World Anti-Doping Agency (“WADA”) approved laboratory in Montreal, Canada, for examination. As a Non-Specified substance, clostebol is forbidden under the Programme and category S1 of the 2021 WADA Prohibited List. Provisional Suspension is required in the event of positive tests for Non-Specified Substances.
