According to police, a 45-year-old man named Michael Louis killed four people and himself at a medical facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Wednesday after complaining about back problems following surgery.
Mayor G.T. Bynum, as well as representatives from the Saint Francis Health System and the Tulsa Police Department, provided additional facts on the incident, which claimed the lives of four innocent individuals as well as the gunman, on Thursday.
Dr. Preston Phillips, who was assassinated in an exam room in the Natalie Medical Building on the Saint Francis Hospital campus in Tulsa, was his intended target.

Louis’ niece stated he left a note detailing a purpose for the attack in the Warren Clinic Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine on the 2nd floor of the Natalie Medical Building, near St. Francis Hospital, citing a conversation with police. Officials refused to tell her what the report said.

Tulsa Police Chief Wendell Franklin stated at a press conference on Thursday that Dr. Preston Phillips, an orthopedic surgeon who conducted back surgery on Louis last month, was shot and killed in the incident. According to Franklin, Louis was discharged from the hospital on May 24 but continued to complain about his agony.
The shooter was killed by his own gunfire. To help kids cope with the frightening tragedy, the school premises erected an immediate trauma center some miles away from the incident site.

Michael Louis was married to Edith Lubin. However, since the incident, she has not come out publicly.

Tulsa Police Chief Wendell Franklin identified the victims as Dr. Preston Phillips, Dr. Stephanie Husen, Amanda Green, and William Love.
Green was a receptionist, and Love was a patient, according to Franklin.
After being discharged from the hospital on May 24 following his operation, Franklin said Louis’ wife corroborated with investigators that he blamed Phillips for his continued pain difficulties.
Investigators believe Louis bought an AR-15-style gun from a nearby vendor the day of the shooting, according to Franklin. On May 29, Louis bought the.40-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver used in the shootings from a local pawn shop.
