He allegedly put a liquid substance on the victim and ignited it, resulting in a fire. The woman was sent to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in critical condition. The woman was claimed to be in the hospital on Friday with life-threatening injuries. Her condition has not been officially updated.

Around 12:30 p.m., Toronto police were dispatched to the Kipling Avenue and Dundas Street West area for complaints of a lady being assaulted. 

Sunnybrook Hospital was dispatched to treat the woman. There’s no information on how she’s doing right now. The motive for the attack is unknown, although Li claims that the man and woman had some form of relationship before the attack. The police investigation is still ongoing.

Tenzin Norbu Jail Sentence And Charges

Toronto Subway Station Attacks Are Increasing

Friday’s event follows at least two other significant subway station attacks in Toronto. Kartik Vasudev, an overseas student, was slain in a shooting near the Sherbourne subway station in April.

In the same month, a 39-year-old woman was shoved into the tracks from a subway platform at Bloor-Yonge subway station, narrowly avoiding being hit by a train.

After that, a guy was robbed and attacked outside the Dundas subway station late last month. Christian Garcia told CBC News that he would want to see additional security and personnel at TTC stations.

The transport workers’ union in Toronto also published a statement, calling the incident “horrifying” and thanking the transit officials and riders who went to the woman’s aid.
