Trey Kaufman-Renn, a Purdue freshman, will be out for around three weeks after breaking his right hand during Saturday night’s Indiana All-Star game at Southport High School, literally the day before he arrived in West Lafayette.
Kaufman-Renn broke his fourth metatarsal (ring finger) during the game and had to sit out the second half.
It will just need rest to mend, but Kaufman-Renn will miss out on the chance to test out for USA Basketball’s 19-and-under national team in Texas later this month with teammates Jaden Ivey and Caleb Furst.
