A local news report verified a man who was killed in East Grenada County near Grenada Lake in October 2021 is Austin Chamberlain.
Police find it difficult to identify the deceased, but with the help of local people and authorities, they finally found the man’s identity. Officials from the GCSO eventually determined that the victim was Austin Hunter Chamberlain, age 19.
He was a traveler sitting in the passenger’s seat while Maxley Byron, his diver, was in the front seat driving the car. When the police arrived at the scene, both were unconscious, heavily injured and bleeding.

Austin Chamberlain, born Austin Hunter Chamberlain, was traveling down the highway like every other normal day. But little did he know, this trip would be his last. He died in a car accident.
On Sunday, October 24, 2021, a local news source published a story about a young man, 19-year-old, who died in a tragic road accident in East Grenada County near Grenada Lake.
Around two in the morning, an accident took place on Graysport Crossing Road close to Harrys Drive and the fork in Gums Crossing Road, according to Grenada County Sheriff Rolando Fair. Upon arrival, officers found a single-vehicle accident involving a Ford F-250 with an Alabama numberplate.
Douglas Yates, the Grenada County Coroner, stated that the car’s passenger had been declared deceased at the spot. Officials from the GCSO afterward recognized the victim as Austin Hunter Chamberlain, a 19-year-old teenager.

East Grenada County Car Accident, Driver Maxley Byron Condition Updates
Fortunately, the driver of the Ford F-250, which met an accident in October 2021 in East Grenada County, Maxley Byron, survived the catastrophe.
The sheriff’s office was still looking into the crash that killed a 19-year-old in East Grenada County last year and attempting to figure out what caused it. Maxley Byron Baxter, the car’s driver, suffered critical injuries in the collision and was evacuated by helicopter to a hospital in Tupelo to get medical attention.
According to the Grenada County Sheriff’s Office, he was in a hospital’s critical care unit due to the accident that happened on September 24 on Graysport Crossing Road close to Grenada Lake.
