There were reports of shooting fired at Gallup during the ceremonial parade. At the Gallup Ceremonial night parade, someone drove the car through the crowd before running over the people.
According to several witnesses, a car drove into a group, and as emergency personnel arrived, people began to escape.
Although they have not specified how many or how serious the injuries were, the Gallup Police Department has acknowledged that there were injuries.

A car drove through the Gallup Intertribal Ceremonial Centennial Celebration on Thursday night, injuring many individuals, including two Gallup police officers.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, State Police Lt. Mark Soriano could not specify the severity of the injuries but stated no one was killed in the event in the city of Gallup.

On Twitter, the New Mexico State Police announced that they had arrested the driver and looked into the incident.
Videos on social media showed a brown SUV driving down the street as parade participants scattered to make space for it. In another video, onlookers and police officers can be seen going up to the wrecked SUV and removing at least one man.
Social media users have been sharing videos from the ceremony. On Facebook, one Facebook user has posted, “We thought going to the Gallup Parade would be a nice evening. A drunk driver driving through the crowd and shooting was the scariest to see. Crowd pushing and shoving. People are getting trampled on. If you have family that attends the parade, do check on them.”
Suspect And Victim: Is Anyone Injured At Gallup Shooting?
After a driver in Gallup ran through a parade, several individuals, including two officers, were injured.
No one was killed in the event, according to State Police Lt. Mark Soriano, and the situation is under investigation. However, the New Mexico State Police arrested the driver.
