What Happened To Gord Lewis?

According to reports, the third murder in Hamilton in 2022 may have been committed by a founding member of the Canadian punk music band Teenage Head, Gord Lewis.

The band’s founder, Gord Lewis, was reportedly discovered dead in a downtown apartment on Catharine Street between Forest Avenue and Young Street on Sunday evening, according to The Hamilton Spectator, which has confirmed the incident.

Detectives say they are not seeking any further suspects because they have already apprehended one person connected to the dead.

Although identification of the deceased is still pending due to an ongoing autopsy, Hamilton Police Det. Sgt. During a press conference on Monday, Sarah Beck stated that investigators suspect the victim and the accused were father and son.

Due to the level of decomposition, specific identification of the deceased has not been made, according to Beck. We communicated with the family members of the apartment’s resident, and they are aware of the current inquiry. At this moment, we are assisting them, the spokesperson said.

Gord Lewis Death – Murder Or Suicide

A founding member of the storied Canadian band punk band Teenage Head has been found murdered in Hamilton, the Hamilton Spectator is reporting.

The newspaper confirms that Gord Lewis, the band’s longtime lead guitarist, was found dead in an apartment at 175 Catharine Street South on Sunday.

The Spectator says one of its staff called 911 to alert police about suspicious emails sent to their newsroom on Saturday and Sunday by a person named Jonathan Lewis, believed to be the musician’s son.

The newspaper said the emails suggested that Gord Lewis was deceased, spurring the Spectator staffer to call the police, who followed up with a wellness check. In an update on Monday, Hamilton police confirmed they found a deceased male in his 60s during that check but said identification of the victim has not yet been made due to the “level of decomposition” to the body.

How Rich Was Gord Lewis Before He Died?

According to the website’s net worth post, Gord Lewis has an estimated net worth of $12 million.

To obtain a record deal in the United States, the band’s Canadian label, Attic Records, organized a series of showcase performances in New York City in September 1980. Lewis was critically hurt in a vehicle accident just a few days before they were supposed to leave. Thus the showcase was canceled.

David Bendeth temporarily took Lewis’ place, but Lewis was able to come back in time to play on the 1982 album Some Kinda Fun.

While attending Westdale High School in Hamilton, Gord Lewis, Frankie Venom, Steve Mahon, and Nick Stipanitz founded Teenage Head.
