Fox News stated that Carlson apparently had unscheduled back surgery and then proceeded to the studio to conduct his show at night.

Before the injury, he made public his first book titled, How I Saved the World. The novel made its debut at the top of The New York Times’ factual best-seller list.

After serving as the regular host of a new primetime program, dubbed Jesse Watters Primetime, which began on January 24, 2022, after serving along with several other rotating fill-in presenters in the network’s 7 PM time slot.

Jesse Watters is the current anchor of Jesse Watters Primetime and the co-host of The Five on FNC.
