Zungu assisted AmaTuks in their first season in the PSL when he transferred from Dynamos to the University of Pretoria at the beginning of the 2012–13 season. The team finished in the top eight. Zungu joined Mamelodi Sundowns in a trade deal at the end of the season, with Buhle Mkhwanazi and Siyabonga Ngubane joining the University of Pretoria.
