Yadier Molina, right now, focuses on his knee rehab after getting on the injury list. 

A Puerto Rican professional baseball catcher, Yadier Molina, often known by his field name “Yadi,” plays in Major League Baseball for St. Louis Cardinals. 

He has been active in his sports career from 2004; to the present day. And within these years, he has achieved All-star ten times, World Series champion two times, and much more. 

But, what worried the followers more was his knee injury that dates back to 2013. Over the years, it has affected his various matches, and this time is no different.

Where Is Yadier Molina Right Now In 2022? 

Yadier Moline has been listed on the injury list right now; while he focuses on rehab for his right knee inflammation. He has not appeared in matches since the mid of June. 

Molina’s team St. Louis Cardinals has already released the logo for his farewell season. As 2022 will be his last one, the baseball fanatics were thrilled to watch his games until they put him on the injured list. 

There is no fixed date for his return, but the baseball catcher seems to be trying his best the recovery. Even so, at that time, his team listed him on the 10-day injured list as per The Athletic

The whole 2022 season has been rough for the player with knee soreness. He clearly mentioned the year being his last one while signing a year extension contract of $10 million. 

Additionally, he took multiple cortisone shots for his knees to be on the field and playing the match of a doubleheader vs. the Pirates. He was bound to take 48 hours of rest before starting the game, but he went early. 

Soon, Yadier was sent for a break by the Cardinals for his knee. And since then, there has been no date for his return until now. 

Injury Update Of Baseball Catcher Yadier Molina 

Yadier Molina still seems to be in his rehab for right knee inflammation. His injury started in 2013 when the player faced no structural damage but had an MRI that indicated excess fluid buildup. 

He was given a cortisone injection for the inflammation and missed out on his matches. In 2014, his injury again started to affect his games & additionally, his left abdominal oblique muscle strain. 

Over the years, he has been sustaining a load of injuries, and in 2018, he went for emergency surgery after a pelvic injury with “traumatic hematoma.”

What Happened To Yadier Molina?

Yadier Molina suffered from right knee inflammation. In 2013, he was put on the 15-day injured list due to a right knee sprain, only later to find out his knee got drained of excess fluid buildup. 

In 2022, Molin is still listed on the injured list and taking rest for his inflammation while focusing on rehab for his knee.
