Albane Valenzuela is a Swiss professional golfer who is also a two-time Olympian. 

Valenzuela attended Stanford University before going pro in late 2019. Valenzuela was a Ping/WGCA First Team All-American and Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2019.

She won the WGCA’s Edith Cummings Munson Award, which is given to one of the top collegiate female golfers who also excelled academically.

She was also named a Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-American first team member. She received Phi Beta Kappa honors after graduating in 2020 with a degree in political science.

Albane Valenzuela Family  – Who Is Her Father?

Born to a Mexican father and french mother in New York City on 17 December 1997, Albane Valenzuela is a two-time Olympian and Swiss professional golfer. 

Her parents are Diane Valenzuela and Alberto Valenzuela. She has one brother named Alexis Valenzuela, a swiss golfer, who is playing collegiate golf at SMU. Her younger brother was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder when he was three years old.

Alberto Valenzuela attended UCLA and was a French Amateur champion in 1991, when he met his wife, Diane, at an exhibition at Evian Golf Resort.

When Albane was born, they were living in New York, then moved to Mexico City when she was three years old, and finally to Geneva three years later. She became a Swiss citizen at the age of 14 and represented Switzerland throughout her amateur career.

Her parents have moved to Nassau, where her father works in wealth management. During the pandemic, her mother underwent surgery to remove a tumor near the eye nerve.

At the age of 14, she obtained Swiss citizenship. Valenzuela skipped her final semester of college golf at Stanford in order to compete in the Olympics. Her 19-year-old brother caddied for her during the women’s golf practice round prior to the 2020 Summer Olympics.
