Who Is Allan Schwer? Bachelorette Star Erich Schwer’s Father Was His Rock

Erich Schwer is a contestant on The Bachelorette’s Season 19. He works as a real estate analyst and is a humorous and endearing man.

The latest episode of The Bachelorette ended in a somber way. At the conclusion of the episode, the show paid tribute to Schwer’s late dad. It showed the picture of the late Allan Schwer who passed away in earlier July this year. 

The Bachelorette Airs Tribute To Erich Schwer’s Dad

Erich Schwer’s father, Allan Schwer was honored with a tribute card at the end of the show’s latest episode. He died earlier this summer after a long battle with cancer disease.

The episode that aired on August 22, 2022, was filmed in the Spring. This means co-star Gabby Windey had an opportunity to meet Schwer’s family member. It is now evident that Schwer experienced some inner turmoil while filming some of his most recent episodes.

Gabby Windey met Allan Robert Schwer on her third date; at the time of their meeting in New Jersey, Allan Schwer had been diagnosed with terminal appendiceal cancer.

On July 9, 2022, Schwer had notified that his father passed away after battling cancer. He posted photos of his father and mother and captioned them: ‘Thankful for everything you’ve done for me. We are gonna miss the hell out of you Big AL. I love you so much, dad.’

Erich has also shared several old pictures of his father on his Instagram during the August 22 episode’s airing, including one adorable snap in which a young Erich appears to be sleeping on Allan’s chest.

Fans are now theorizing that Windey and Erich connected emotionally as a result of the tragedy while the program has been airing. They believe that if Gabby does wind up choosing Erich, it must have been very significant to the two of them. 

Erich Schwer Dad Story- Who Is Allan Schwer?

Allan Schwer was a businessman. He was a native of Bedminster, New Jersey.

As per a LinkedIn profile on his name and address, Schwer was the owner of Print Functions Inc. While, his son, Erich works as an Acquisitions Analyst at Rexford Industrial.

Allan was married to Erich’s mother, Donna Schwer. He is also the father of Elise Schwer, who resides in Colorado.

Before he passed away in July, Allan underwent multiple cycles of chemotherapy over the period of three years. There are many pictures of Allan, shared on Erich’s Instagram profile, which goes by the handle @erich_schwer.

According to ApyreNCS, Schwer took his last breath on July 6, 2022. He was only 65 years old. 

While on a date with Windey last month, Erich said that his family is his soulmates and dad his rock. He explained: ‘They are just like the best group that I have ever seen and I know it’s a lot to ask for, but that’s what I want.’

Erich also added that his dad has a “larger-than-life big personality” and his mom is “the hardest working person.
