Who Is Asherey Ryan? La Brea Car Accident Pregnant Victim From Windsor Hills Crash

Asherey Ryan, 23, a pregnant woman, died on Thursday, August 4, 2022, after a multi-vehicle collision near La Brea Avenue and Slauson Avenue close to a petrol station.

Five people, along with a pregnant woman, were killed in the fiery Windsor Hills collision, and a 40-year-old nurse has been arrested and is being held on charges of vehicular manslaughter.

The crash also resulted in eight injuries. Immediately after 1:40 p.m., the L.A. County Fire Department arrived at the collision scene.

The identity of Asherey Ryan has just been made public. The four other victims’ names have not been made public.

The Mercedes was moving “at a high rate of speed” and crossed a red light while traveling southbound on La Brea; according to CHP investigations,, the exact cause of the collision was not known precisely.

The Windsor Hills area was the site of a terrible multi-vehicle incident Thursday afternoon that caused the death of six people, including a baby and a pregnant woman, and injured eight more.

The CHP reported that a gray Mercedes-Benz was being driven by a 40-year-old man who blew a red light on La Brea Avenue at Slauson and collided with around a dozen other vehicles. Following that, two automobiles caught fire.

The Mercedes’s female driver was seriously injured but escaped the collision and was transported to the hospital.

To assist, several people rushed through the intersection. According to CHP inspectors, some victims were ejected from their vehicles, and CBSLA observed a child’s seat in the middle of Slauson Avenue.

Six People Dead Including Pregnant Woman At La Brea 

As witnesses watched in horror, a speeding vehicle that ran a red light on Thursday caused an accident in the Windsor Hills.

According to Alphonso Word, a pregnant woman was lying to the side. According to investigators, six victims were killed, and eight others were hurt after a female Mercedes driver drove into cars at the intersection of South La Brea and Slauson avenues at 1:40 p.m.

She is thought to have been doing more than 100 mph in a 35 mph zone. The collision site was slightly east of Ladera Park when the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived.

After a 40-year-old lady allegedly sped across the intersection and struck oncoming traffic, six vehicles appeared to be involved in the accident.

Initially hitting a car on Slauson Avenue while driving northbound on La Brea Avenue, the driver hit another vehicle and smashed into a gas station sign.

After the collision, at least three of the cars caught fire. According to reports, Asherey Ryan, her unborn child, and four other people died there.

Mercedes Driver Arrested

A 40-year-old nurse was arrested and is currently being held on charges of vehicular manslaughter in connection with the horrific Windsor Hills collision.

The woman, who is presently being treated in the hospital, has been identified as the Mercedes-Benz driver traveling between 80 and 100 miles per hour when it crashed while hurtling down La Brea Avenue toward Slauson Avenue.

According to two sources, she assists the California Highway Patrol’s investigation, and detectives are analyzing her bloodwork to see if she was under the influence.

The district attorney for Los Angeles County will formally charge her on Monday. The arrest occurs as the coroner identifies the pregnant mother who perished in the high-speed collision.
