Mark Budzinski, the first base coach for the Blue Jays, is making headlines in the sports world after he decided to leave the team after his daughter Julia Budzinski was killed in a car accident today.
Mark Joseph Budzinski, an ex-MLB outfielder from the United States, played for the Cincinnati Reds in 2003. He is the first base coach for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Budzinski participated in collegiate baseball at the University of Richmond. In 1994, he played summer collegiate baseball for the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

The Toronto Blue Jays announced on Sunday that first base coach Mark Budzinski would be leaving the organization as a result of the death of Julia Budzinski, the eldest daughter after a car accident.
In the third inning of the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Tampa Bay Rays, Budzinski left the game.
Luis Hurtado, a catcher for the bullpen, took Mark’s spot after the Blue Jays claimed in a statement that he was attending to a personal problem.
Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo was another player who momentarily departed the game; bench coach John Schneider took his place before Montoyo re-entered.

Julia Budzinski Family And Tragedy After Her Death
The Blue Jays organization announced Mark Budzinski’s departure from the team and migration to be with his wife Monica and kids Josh and Lily during these tough times.
After Julia’s unexpected departure, the squad and supporters paid tribute to her and sent their condolences to the Budzinski family.

In 2014, Mark Budzinski’s management of the Lake County Captains marked his comeback to the major levels. Budzinski was a member of the Cleveland Indians’ big league coaching staff on December 11, 2017.
Budzinski was appointed first base coach of the Toronto Blue Jays on November 26, 2018. In the future, more information regarding Julia, Mark’s daughter, may become available.
