Where Is Hot Fuzz Filmed? Where To Watch And Cast Guide

Edgar Wright is the man behind the camera for the action comedy picture Hot Fuzz, released in 2007 and written by Wright and Simon Pegg.

The film’s plot revolves around Pegg, Nick Frost, Timothy Dalton, and Jim Broadbent as two police detectives. They are investigating a series of brutal and unexplained deaths in a West Country town.

It is the second film in the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, after Shaun of the Dead (2004), followed by The World’s End. It is also the most successful of the three films (2013).

Where Is Hot Fuzz Filmed? Locations And Places

Hot Fuzz was filmed in Wells, which doubled for the film’s fictional setting of Sandford.

It is the smallest city in all of England, which means it is already the size of a town. Whether a coincidence or not, it connected to the filmmaker Edgar Wright before the beginning of production. He spent his childhood years living there.

They were interested in filming the movie in the town of Stow-on-the-Wold. However, because they could not film there, most of the movie was shot in Wells, located in Somerset, which is also Edgar Wright’s hometown.

In addition, filmmaker Wright intended for the Church of St. Cuthbert to serve as the primary focal point and primary point of interest in the small community shown in the film. Because of this, the crew behind “Hot Fuzz” had no choice but to cut the scene involving the Wells Cathedral from the film. In addition, the Bishop’s Palace, located in Wells, makes an appearance in the movie.

The sequences in the movie that took place at the police station were filmed in real-life settings. The movie is being shot at the Hendon Police College and the Metropolitan Police Specialist Training Centre in Gravesend. They filmed several sequences at the Police College, with a skid pan for the driving school and an athletic track.

The sequence in the movie in the flower shop was filmed in Mill Hill, and the last few seconds of the movie were filmed at the Waverley Abbey ruins that are still standing. In addition, when they were filming the movie in Somerset while dressed as police officers, many locals were under the impression that Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were real police officers.

In addition, the hotel that Simon Pegg’s character stays in throughout the film’s events was based on a real hotel, and the majority of the cast and crew of the movie did the same during production. The bar we see in the film is based on a real establishment in Somerset’s Market Place.
