What Happened To Angelica Devereux On Days Of Our Lives? Is She Leaving?
In the soap opera Days of Our Lives, Anjelica Deveraux is a character portrayed by Jane Elliot from 1987 to 1989, Shelley Taylor Morgan in 1989, and Judith Chapman from 1989 to the present day (1989-91, 2018).
It has been revealed that Morgan Fairchild would assume responsibility for the position beginning in the summer of 2017. Her debut appearance was on June 14, 2017. She did not appear again until August 25, 2017, when the character was terminated.
Alexander Kiriakis Mother and Family Ties
Even longtime viewers may need a little refresher on the rarely-seen relative Alexander Kiriakis.
It is because he was on Days of Our Lives in the ’90s when he was just a youngster. Jonathan Thornton, who later played the adult version of the character, originated the role of the kid version of the feeling back in February 1989. In July of 2022, however, Alex made his way back to Salem. The part of Alex was taken on by actor Robert Scott Wilson, who had previously portrayed Ben Weston.
Justin Kiriakis had an affair with Anjelica Deveraux while his marriage to Adrienne Johnson was in trouble, and the result of that affair was the birth of Alexander Kiriakis. Before Anjelica realized that Alex could not have children of his own, everyone assumed he was Harper Deveraux’s son.

When Victor Kiriakis discovered the truth, he attempted to marry Anjelica to make the kid his heir. However, she ended up marrying her close friend, Neil Curtis, who intended to adopt the child as his own.
However, because Anjelica believed she had a shot with Justin, she lied to him and said that Alex was his son. This prevented the event from taking place. But when Justin decided to continue his relationship with Adrienne, Anjelica moved forward with the plan to marry Victor. Even though she knew Justin would never allow such a thing to occur.
Because she was correct, Justin allowed her and his kid to lead a comfortable life by providing them with a luxury apartment and a babysitter. Anjelica persisted in her efforts to drive a wedge between Justin and Adrienne. When her plan to have Adrienne murdered failed, Anjelica and Alexander vanished, and it was believed that they had been killed in an aircraft accident.

However, the mother and boy had transferred to a different aircraft and were still alive when Johnny Corelli located them. After Anjelica had second thoughts, she permitted Johnny to take Alexander back to Salem, where he was reunited with his biological father.
Alexander followed his adoptive parents, Justin and Adrienne, to Dallas, where he was reunited with his biological brothers, Joseph and Victor. Jackson was his younger brother, and his mother, Adrienne, gave birth to him shortly after arriving in Texas (better known today as Sonny Kiriakis).
Alex moved back to Salem in 2007, and although his time there was never depicted on the program, he did attend Salem High. However, by 2008, the whole family had relocated to Dubai. Alexander returned to Salem in the spring of 2022 to be with his loved ones again.

Anjelica made her television debut on DAYS in 1987, playing Tracy from GENERAL HOSPITAL by Jane Elliot.
In 1989, Judith Chapman (now Gloria on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS) temporarily filled the position before it was recast with Shelly Taylor Morgan. And in 2018, when Anjelica appeared in a dream sequence for Halloween, Chapman was once more playing the part.
Anjelica’s past in Salem is quite shady. She became pregnant while still married to Harper Devereaux after having an affair with Justin Kiriakis. Anjelica discovered that Justin was her biological father. Still, she kept him in the dark after learning that Harper was sterile. In an attempt to claim the child as his own, Victor proposed, but Anjelica wed Neil Curtis instead.

When Neil returned to his gambling habits after Victor’s furious provocation, and he incurred significant debt, Anjelica dumped him. Anjelica revealed Alexander Kiriakis’ father to Adrienne after giving birth in the hopes that she would get Adrienne to leave Justin.
When that didn’t work, she consented to wed Victor, expecting Justin to call off the nuptials. Adrienne faked a pregnancy out of fear that she would lose Justin. Still, Anjelica discovered the truth, and the couple eventually divorced. By detonating a bomb at her construction site, Anjelica attempted to eliminate Adrienne permanently. Still, Justin saved his ex and accepted responsibility for the blast.

However, Anjelica decided to leave Salem with Alexander because she knew it was only a matter before the truth was revealed. Although Anjelica let everyone believe they had died in the plane crash for a while, she had boarded another flight!
Anjelica was convinced to bring Alexander back to Salem in 1991 so that Justin could raise him. She hasn’t been seen since June 2017, when Steve Johnson learned that she was the person who had been impersonating Sebastian Howard and making life difficult for Adrienne.
In one of the craziest revenge plots ever conceived, Anjelica traveled back to Salem. She recruited Hattie Adams and Bonnie Lockhart to take over the lives of their identical twins, Marlena Evans and Adrienne!

Unfortunately, Anjelica had headaches and suddenly passed away while battling Bonnie! Lucas Horton, however, awoke convinced that he had murdered Anjelica after the woman had placed her body in his bed. Thankfully, an autopsy soon established that the woman had passed away naturally.
