What Is Daniel Ricciardo’s Next Team? Leaving McLaren Racing, Does He Have Any Illness?

Just in, news broke out on Formula 1 as the Australian racing sensation Daniel Ricciardo is set to leave McLaren Racing at the end of the season.

As per their mutual agreement, Daniel Ricciardo will depart McLaren Racing at the conclusion of the 2022 season. The two parties concurred to terminate the contract despite having a year left.

While he achieved the squad’s first victory since 2012 at Monza last year, with Norris finishing second, the Australian signed with McLaren in 2021 on a three-year contract, racing alongside Lando Norris. However, he has failed to match his teammate’s incredibly outstanding performance.

Daniel Ricciardo Next Team After Leaving McLaren Racing, Where Is He Going?

The 33-year-old Italian-Australian racer, Daniel Ricciardo, has not revealed further details about her exit, and there has been no official information about his next potential team after leaving McLaren Racing.

Although the specifics of Ricciardo’s departure are unknown, he is free to join some other club and has stated his intention to remain in Formula One. “It’s been a privilege to be a part of the McLaren Racing family for the last two seasons.”, he said.

After making a name for himself at the top of the pack at Red Bull and then becoming the team captain of Renault, Ricciardo was a high-profile signing for McLaren in 2021 but hasn’t lived up to expectations.

Young English racer Lando Norris outclassed him with his victory in the Italian GP last year, serving as the highlight of his tenure. As a result, McLaren CEO Zak Brown looked to hint at Ricciardo’s departure the previous year.

Having signed a three-year contract when he joined the club, he did have a contract through 2023. Ricciardo had been adamant about staying, even posting a statement on social media in July before the Alpine-Piastri turmoil started.

However, a remarkable transfer story expedited his leaving when he had a terrible performance on the track. McLaren expresses its gratitude to Daniel for his commitment and contributions, which included that cherished victory in Monza.
