One of the best young soccer players, Gio Reyna, is heading to Qatar’s 2022 FIFA world cup. The 20-year-old has already shown his potential in European tournaments, and it’s time for him to step up for the nation.

Given that the USMNT has a balanced group, they will back themselves to go to the next round. And the Dortmund midfielder is the player everyone is looking out for.

The 2021 season was one of the best for the youngster. He was one of the finalists for the Golden Boy award, which Barcelona’s Gavi eventually won. But that doesn’t discredit anything Reyna has done throughout the season. The youngster made history by being the first USMNT player to provide two assists in consecutive champions league games.

As a result, Reyna has established himself as a talisman for the BVB. After the departure of Erling Haaland, the Signal Iduna Park was looking for a new hero and found it in Gio Reyna.

After a blistering career in football, he retired in 2007. He is still considered one of the greatest US football players. He was elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2012.

Moving on, Gio’s mother, Danielle Egan, is also a former football player. She made six appearances for the USWNT and scored on one occasion. She played as a midfielder.

Gio’s parents met in 1994 when both men’s and women’s teams were enjoying a vacation in California. They were both 20 years old and fell in love instantly. After three years, in July 1997, they got married.

Jack Reyna was the eldest child of Claudio Reyna and Danielle Egan. He was born in 1999. But in 2012, the family confirmed that their 13-year-old son was no more due to cancer. It was the saddest day for the family.

The symptoms started in May 2010. Jack complained about having headaches. His parents immediately took him to the hospital. They thought it was meningitis or Lyme disease.

But a neurologist noticed some problems with Jack’s peripheral vision in his left eye. They took a CAT scan, and the doctors confirmed a tumor in his brain. He had Stage 4 glioblastoma.

At just 11 years old, young Jack knew the end was near. In an interview, his parents said he was brave and missed him. Gio hasn’t spoken publicly about his brother, as the footballer is known for his shy nature.
