Lauren Taggart and Luke Malinich, both adolescents, were killed in a single-vehicle incident near Clarence on Monday afternoon, according to state police.
WKBW/CLARENCE, N.Y. — Two Williamsville South students were killed in an automobile collision in Clarence, according to New York State Police.
As senior college students, Lauren Taggart and Luke Malinich attended Williamsville South High School. The college students breathed their final breath on Monday, March 7th, 2022.
The collision occurred on Delaware Road near Goodrich Road just after 4:00 p.m. Monday.
Luke Malinich, 17, was driving a Jeep Cherokee east on Delaware Road when it crossed into the oncoming lane, drove off the road, rolled, and hit a tree, according to investigators.

Williamsville NY: Lauren Taggart & Luke Malinich Car Accident
Luke Malinich and his passenger, 17-year-old Lauren Taggart, perished at the scene, officials announced Tuesday morning.
The Jeep was speeding when it skidded off the road, according to police.
Families in the Williamsville Central School District received a notification Monday evening telling them of the fatalities, as well as the statement below. For the rest of the week, grief counselors will be accessible to students and staff.

Lauren Taggart & Luke Malinich Age & Parents Revealed
Lauren Taggart and Luke Malinich both were 17 years old. In the same manner, the bio and details of who Lauren and Luke’s parents are is not yet revealed in the media yet.
The school and their friends were in shock when they heard of both students’ sudden passing.
In an email, Superintendent Darren Brown-Hall wrote, “This is a terrible moment, but I believe our students and staff will continue to respect the legacy and lives of Lauren and Luke.”
Students would have access to grief counselors, according to Brown-Hall.
The accident is still being investigated.
