Isaac Traudt, age 18, was born to parents Brandon and Christy Traudt in Grand Island, Nebraska. He credits his parents for being such a positive influence on him during his high school years.

He was admitted to the hospital for a few days while doctors performed tests.
His parents were then tasked with playing the role of his pancreas. Because blood sugar levels can be affected by a variety of factors, he needed to check his insulin level before each game.
