He was born on January 30, 1882, in Hyde Park, New York, U.S. The name of his parents is James Roosevelt and Sara Delano.

Franklin and his spouse Eleanor had six children. Among them, Their second son died immaturely in 1909.

The name of their five children is Anna, James, Elliott, Franklin, and John. They were born in 1906, 1907, 1910, 1914, and 1916 respectively. All of them are becoming successful in their career.

Franklin Roosevelt Married Life 

During his second year of college, Frankin Roosevelt started to make relationships with his childhood friend and cousin Eleanor Roosevelt who is a niece of Theodore Roosevelt. In 1903 he purposed her and tied the knot on March 17, 1905.

The young couple has shifted into Springwood. Franklin and Sara Roosevelt also offered a townhouse for the couple in New York City.

Franklin made several extra-marital affairs, including Eleanor’s social secretary Lucy Mercer. He also wanted to divorce Eleanor but his mother showed her dissatisfaction and told him that Lucy will not marry a divorced man with five children.

Eleanor was devastated by his behavior. Although they remained in their married life, she never forgave him. Hence their marriage has become more like a political partnership.

How Did Franklin Roosevelt Die?

Franklin Roosevelt died due to a cerebral hemorrhage. He passed away through his fourth term in office on April 12, 1945.

He was living with Lucy, with whom he had extramarital affair. Suddenly, at about 1 p.m, he was attacked by a terrific pain in the back of his head and fell unconscious.

The doctor immediately identified the symptoms of cerebral hemorrhage and provide the president with a shot of adrenaline into the heart in vain. But he could not resist the pain and by 3:30 p.m. doctors pronounced him dead.
