Dido, Baroness Harding of Winscombe, is a British entrepreneur and Conservative life peer who has led NHS Improvement since 2017. She was in charge of the NHS Test and Trace programme throughout the COVID-19 epidemic until April 2021.
She was the former CEO of TalkTalk Group, where she faced calls to resign after a cyber assault exposed the personal information of up to four million users; the firm was fined £400,000 by the Information Commissioner’s Office for its recklessness.
Harding was appointed to lead NHS Test and Trace by Health Secretary Matt Hancock in May 2020, to track and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in England.

From 1986 to 1990, John worked at J. P. Morgan as a Bank Trading Floor Risk Manager, then at McKinsey & Company as a management consultant from 1992 to 1994.
He served as Commercial Director of Thomson Publishing’s Academic Books Division in Andover from 1995 to 1996, and then as Managing Director of Longman (Pearson plc), where he published school textbooks for the United Kingdom and parts of Africa.
