The Pirates’ pitcher played for the Davie County High School for three seasons. He helped the War Eagles to 44 wins over three years which included Central Piedmont Conference (CPC) Championship in 2019.
From 2017 to 2019, he was named a three-time All-Conference Performer. In 2019, he was named CPC Pitcher of the Year. Following his impressive performance, he got selected for North Carolina 4A All-State Senior Campaign.
In 2020, he made eight appearances as a collegiate true freshman. He made his debut against William & Mary in February. In the summer of 2020, he played for the High Point Thomasville Hi Toms of the Coastal Plain League and led the club to the Mid-Atlantic Division Crown championship.
