The woman appointed to lead President Biden’s disinformation board received increased attention after a TikTok clip of her singing Mary Poppins’ “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” to discuss false news went viral.
In a video shot in February 2021, Jankowicz can be heard performing a song about “Information Laundering.” The rendition was extensively shared on social media, causing critics to call into question her ability to pinpoint true deception.
Nina’s appointment, however, was supported by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who cited her “excellent qualifications.” Nina is the executive director of the new Disinformation Governance Board.

She got off to a rocky start, though, when one of her TikTok clips from February 2021 reappeared. In the video, Jankowicz sings while posing as Mary Poppins, the fictional children’s nanny.
